Yes, in fact, we have our own lab where we perform a wide variety of tests on our fabric and final products. Red Kap workwear must pass rigorous testing for proof of excellence in quality, design, engineering and construction. That’s the done right guarantee.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WORK SHIRT AND A DRESS SHIRT?

Work shirts typically have a convertible collar and dress shirts typically have a collar stand and collar (banded collar). Additionally, work shirts usually feature two chest pockets for increased functionality, whereas dress shirts normally have one.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WORK PANTS AND DRESS PANTS?

Workpants have basic construction features (button closure at front waist) and dress pants have upgraded waistband construction and features with hook and eye closure. Dress pants also have an upgraded back welt pocket construction that does not include topstitching as found on the work pant.

WHAT IS TOUCHTEX®?

Touchtex Technology is our proprietary technology that makes our garments stand out from the competition. Garments featuring Touchtex offer superior moisture management, color retention and wrinkle resistance.

WHAT IS LIGHT SOIL?

Light soil is also a term used in industrial laundries and means that the chemicals used are less harsh and garments are washed for less time and at a reduced heat (140 degrees).
